Enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the Brisbane Riverstage as some of Australia’s finest brass musicians join jazz virtuoso James Morrison for a one-night only musical extravaganza.

The World According to Brass presents our state’s finest talent and celebrates the many cultures that have influenced the world of brass music.

This free concert will showcase our finest brass bands including Brisbane Brass, Brisbane Excelsior Band, South Brisbane Federal Band, Queensland Highlanders and Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band. It will also feature guest vocalists from the Queensland Choir and Queensland Conservatorium’s Big Band – The Con Artists with Elly Hoyt and soloists Chrislyn Hamilton and Jessie Johnson.

October will see the band making a trip up to Bundaberg for a weekend to take workshops and perform a concert. Invited and hosted by our northern friends the Bundaberg Municipal Band, we are looking forward to heading up there and putting on a good show! With a few old Bundy Boys in the band, some great memories will be relived as well as some new ones made!
