Other Purchasing Options

Simoraine
A 'cheeky' fast march, this was the band's winning stage march selection for the 2010 Australian National Champions in Hobart and an instant favourite.

Psalm of Praise
This significant work is based on one of the great hymn tunes of the Salvation Army.

Comedians Galop

Fast and furious, this banding standard just had to be in the repertoire.

Letter from Home

This new, masterfully arranged work adds a wash of colour to the band sound.

Queen of the Night

Mozart's Queen of the Night Aria from his opera The Magic Flute, was a great success, loved for the dexterity and virtuosic singing required by the coloratura soprano.

Peace

This is a lovely arrangement that earned the band contest success on several occasions, including the 2007 New Zealand National Championships.

An American Tale

This fun yet challenging work is a compilation of somoe of America's favourite folk songs and is one the band enjoyed greatly.

We've Only Just Begun

Consistently reliable and always world-class, solo trombonist Stuart Bent debuts a new solo here in We've Only Just Begun.

Be Still in the Presence of the Lord

Arranged by Louisa Smith (Flugel) this is a lovely, quartet-based setting of this simple hymn chorus.

Calling Cornwall

The piece depcts the waking and gradual gathering pace as day evolves in the great county of Cornwall.

Song of Hope

The former Brighouse legend is back in his third solo appearance on an Excelsior CD with this beautiful extension of the theme from the composers own test 'Glasshouse sketches'.

The Children of Sanchez

This arrangement of world renowned jazz flugelist Chuck Mangione's standard, here performed sensationally by Louisa Smith, our fabulous solo 'lassie', is a testing work.  The band is sure you'll agree that she pulls it off with aplomb.

Just a Closer Walk

This tradtional Dixieland inspired work has been in the band's folders forever and is a constant crowd favourite and request.

If Ever I Loved Thee

Ashley Gittins' own arrangement of a long-time favourite of Salvationists the world over is presented here for the first time.

Dances and Alleluias

The set test for the 2008 Nationals in Brisbane, this piece marks a return to relative simplicity and clarity in brass band composing.

Comedians Galop, Kabalevsky

We've Only Just Begun, Williams/Nichols arr Ray Farr
