Windsor Brass do it Again!

Nambour Festival of Brass 2006

Windsor Brass have again returned triumphant having won all of the stage event at this years Festival of Brass. Windsor Brass, with Lindon Weise conducting in his first competition with the band, won the Hymn and the Concert program ahead of 4 other bands. The band also tied for second place in the street march.

In the solo and ensemble events successes were:
Ensemble - Windsor Brass 1st (Susan Snape, Cathy Spratt, Ros Shaw and Allen Clark)
Flugel - Cathy Spratt 1st
Horn - Ros Shaw 2nd
Ballad - Cathy Spratt 3rd

Several Brisbane Excelsior players also did well in the solos:
Open Baritone - Ross Moloney 1st
Open Cornet - Chris Baldwin 2nd
Open Euphonium - Ben Crocker 2nd
